x= 2t-9 and y= 5 - t
Firstly find t in term of x   x= 2t - 9    -->  x + 9 = 2t   --> t= (x+9)/2  --> t= (1/2x) + 3.5
Substitute t into equation y= 5 - t we get :    y= 5 - (1/2x) - 3.5  --> y= 2.5 - (1/2x)
There, you solve for y in term of x
