width:legnth=3:5

perimiter=2(legnth+width)
144=2(legnth+width)
divide both sides by 2
72=legnth plus width


3+5=8
72/8=9

3 times 9=width=27
5 times 9=legnth=45


width=27 ft
legnth=45 ft
