if she spent 16 dollars, and each cost the same, these are the possiblieties of how many she could've bought (and for how much)

sixteen t-shirts for a dollar each
eight t-shirts for two dollars each
four t-shirts for four (tongue twister :) ) dollars each
two t-shirts for eight dollars a piece
