It is polar because of the partial negative charge on the oxygen and the partial positive charge on the hrdrogens. This is due to the fact that oxygen is highly electonegative, meaning that it attracts electrons when its in a compound. So in conclusion, its polar because the oxygen has the charges pulled towards it, it is not equal across the molecule
