Exponents are actually really simple. They are the little numbers on top of numbers and represents powers, so if it was 2 to the power of 2 you multiply 2*2 since there is 2 2s.(

an exponent is the little number above a different number 

[tex] 10^{(2)This 2 Is The Exponent} [/tex]

10*2= 10+10=20

[tex] 10^{2} [/tex]=10*10=100

here is another example

[tex] 4^{6} [/tex]=4*4*4*4*4*4=4096
