Between 1954 and 1975 various groups in the United States engaged in protest. Analyze the reasons that protest emerged in this period for TWO of the following groups: African-Americans, college students, Latino Americans, women.

For African Americans, the reason why this period in the US was so ripe for protest is because the Second World War had just ended, and many blacks had been ask to fight for a country that treated them unfairly. The same goes for women.
