When your percent value is something like 75% or 50%.
75% is the same as [tex] \frac{3}{4} [/tex]

50% is the same as [tex] \frac{1}{2} [/tex]

Maybe when its an easy simple fraction. For example 1/4= 25% and 1/2= 50%.
