the box of corn flakes weighs less than the granola. 7/9 indicates that if the granola was broken up into 9 even parts and the corn flakes were divided into parts of the same size, the corn flakes would only have 7 parts. 18 / 9 = 2 so that means for every part it equals 2 ounces. 7 x 2 = 14 There are 14 ounces of corn flakes.
