when your ears 'pop' normally you hear louder and it feels like they are blocked!
This normally happens in the plane. Sometimes it even hurts!

Sometimes of air pressure for example on the plane like she said. Also their might be air wax in your ears so that might make your hearing bad at that moment. Hope this helps.
