The behaviorist who carried out research to show that people learn to
behave in certain ways because of reinforcement was B.F. Skinner. He
conducted famous experiments with rats, which led to him eventually
developing ideas such as the theory of operant conditioning that still
carry a lot of weighting in modern psychology.
