Because a biography is in first person, you could write the quote and then say, "These great words were uttered by me, ________ that kept me and many others focused in the wonders of life." I hope that this answers your question well! :)

You could start your first sentence with the quote. Then, go on to say something as in "This quote makes me smile every time I hear it!' Or something along those lines!
