I need help solving this math equation "Z-5=-8

z= -3 because you need to find z and it has to =  -8

z - 5 = -8, for this equation, we will use the elimination method. First, we add 5 to both sides.

z -5 + 5 = -8 + 5, when we add 5 to -5 they cancel out. 
     |
z = -3.
