40%of  90 is 36  and 1/2 of 80 is 40 so  1/2 of 80 is bigger then 40% of 90

40 percent of 90 is smaller than 1/2 of 80

40% of 90= 40*90/ 100= 36

1/2 of 80= 80/2= 40

So 1/2 of 80 is bigger
