36/8 is equal to 4 1/2. Just divide 36 by 8 to see how many times 8 goes into 36 (4 times). Then take 32 (4x8) out of the 36. You are left with 4/8 which reduces (DON'T FORGET TO REDUCE THE FRACTION) to 1/2. So, the answer is 4 1/2.
