Please help me with this!

Two children had 110 marbles between them. After one child had lost half her marbles and the other lost 20 they had an equal number. How many marbles did each child start with and how many did they finish with?

Well both children has 110 marbles between them, and one child lost half and the other lost 20 so then it said they had an equal number so the other girl must had 20 so that makes 40 and 110-40= 80 so 80 is like the marbles that are left
