Work out gradient so change in y/change in x=8-2/6-4=3
So m=3 where m is the slope. As you go across by 1 you go up by 3
I think you would use y-y1=m(x-x1)
Using (4,2) =y-2=3(x-4)
y-2=3x-12
y=3x-10
