It happened in Gdańsk Shipyard. The workers' strike happened because of the decree approved by the government. This decree wsa intended to raise the prices of food during this time. The strike ended with 30 people dead and eventually, Walesa had lose his job in Gdansk Shipyard after several more illegal strike against the working conditions of the workers in the shipyard
