S-15.50=B
so subtitute S-15.5 into the first equation and get

S+(S-15.5)=47.5 or

2S-15.5=47.5
add 15.5 to both sides and get
2S=64
divide both sides by 2 and get
Sarah spent 32 dollars
Bryan spend 32-15.5=16.5
