The symbol for  "more than"  or  "greater than"  is    >   .
It's like a letter  ' V ' laying on its side and pointing to the right.

If you want to say  "5  is more than  4", you can write  " 5 > 4 "

The way to remember which way the symbol points is . . .
On the way from  5  to  4, it starts out big and shrinks down,
because it's going from the bigger number to the smaller one.
