Economic systems are in many ways foundational to the development of human kind. Economic systems such as trade, agriculture, production, and monetary systems have allowed the world to develop and progress towards modernity. These systems help to create capital and incentives so that things can be built, so that things can be bought and sold, and so that people can obtain more than they would be otherwise through subsisting simply off the land.
