BASE
A substance that releases hydroxyl ions in water is a base. In chemistry,
there are two polar types of substances base and acid. pH scale is used to
measure and scale the acidity or alkalinity of a liquid solution. Furthermore,
hydroxyl ions in water are formed by the alkalinity of the water solution. Lastly,
it is an important component for human body functions since it helps the liquid
in one’s body’s alkalinity.
